President Ruto to Address UN General Assembly Tonight.

Kenya’s President William Ruto is expected to make his inaugural address at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Wednesday night at 9:00 PM in New York City, USA. 


According to the Director of Communication Hussein Mohamed,Ruto is expected to take the stage and deliver Kenya’s national statement.

In his first address to the United Nations, Ruto will seek to promote Kenya’s Foreign Policy at the multilateral system, including enhancing participation in the quest for realisation of Sustainable Development Goals and global leadership in emerging issues such as climate change.

The president left Kenya on Sunday morning to attend Queen Elizabeth’s funeral on Monday, September 19, in Westminster, United Kingdom, before heading to the United States for the UNGA conference. 

He was accompanied by his wife Rachel Ruto and close allies Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, MP Ndindi Nyoro, Chief Administrative Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ababu Namwamba, among others.
