<\/figure>\n\n\nAccording to Kithure Kindiki’s ministry, Nairobi, Tana River, West Pokot, and Homa Bay are the counties that have suffered from flooding in the past 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Residents of Muranga and Nakuru counties have also been impacted by mudslides and landslides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As of right now, the floods have claimed 169 lives and injured 102 more in the impacted areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At least 30,099 households have been displaced, affecting approximately 150,495 people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Sindo, Homa Bay County, 161 households were displaced by the flash floods after following a heavy downpour in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Overall, 190,942 individuals have been affected by the flooding in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We are actively carrying out search, rescue, and retrieval operations particularly in Nakuru due to the recent mudslide and have rescued 23 people in Garissa,” the Interior Ministry said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
