Despite, NCDC putting preventive measures to curb the disease,the cases of lassa fever are still on the rise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the last one week the country recorded 109 cases of lassa fever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the past few weeks Nigeria has recorded 682 confirmed cases and 128 deaths with a case fatality rate of 18.8%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The states affected by the disease include Ondo,Bauchi,Ebonyi,Benue,Kogi,Kaduna,Enugu, Taraba,Delta,Jigawa,Adamawa,Anambra,Rivers, Ogun and Oyo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Majority of the affected people fall within the age group of 31 to 40 years with males being dominant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
