Posted on March 23, 2024March 23, 2024 By Naomy Mbaka No Comments on Senegal’s Presidential Candidates End Campaigns Amid of Elections on Sunday.

The last day to campaign was Friday in the Senegal election which is scheduled for Sunday.

In Dakar and Mbour, large gatherings were held in behalf of the two preferred presidential contenders.

It is anticipated that this race will be the closest in the nation’s history.

Bassirou Diomaye Faye,a well-liked young politician supported by Ousmane Sonko,is running against Amadou Ba,a career politician from the same political party as president Macky Sall

Young people, who make up the great majority of Senegalese citizens are fond of Faye and Sonko.

However,Ba has a sizeable fan base in Dakar, where he was born.

Young Ba enthusiast Seydou Sarr contributed to his campaign.

“We worked a lot. We went into houses in the districts, we raised awareness, we talked with people, we told them Amadou Ba is best for them. He will be the fifth president, by the grace of god, on March 24”, Seydou Sarr said.

At a news conference in Dakar, Ba informed reporters prior to his Friday rally that he is optimistic he will win the presidential seat on Sunday.

In Mbour, large crowds filled the Caroline Faye stadium.

Many young unemployed Senegalese citizens said that they support Diomaye Sonko.
