Posted on April 10, 2024April 10, 2024 By Naomy Mbaka No Comments on Kenya:Shuttle Carrying 46 Passengers Involved in an Accident in Kibwezi,Makueni County

A shuttle ferrying 46 passengers on Wednesday, April 10, got involved in an accident in the Kibwezi area of Makueni County.

According to reports, the shuttle allegedly lost control before rolling into a nearby river which is situated in the Kibwezi area.

Residents promptly started rescue efforts after the disaster, and during that time, a number of people were safely removed from the wreckage.

Nonetheless, there were reports of some passengers being hurt, but no fatalities were reported.

Witnesses reported that the bus was engaged in another accident on the same highway previously.

The shuttle lost control and fell into the same river in December of previous year.

The shuttle was seen sagging on one side in pictures that went viral, showing the inhabitants congregating around the bus to watch the rescue efforts.

The bus’s distorted sidewalls and shattered rear windscreen demonstrated the severity of the collision.

At the time of this reporting, police officers had not yet arrived at the scene of the incident to assess the situation.
