Twenty six students and 4 staff members were injured in a road accident in the Sachang’wan area of Molo, along the busy Nakuru Highway, on Monday.

The bus in which the students were travelling from Eldoret town, where they had attended the National Music festivals, was hit by a tow truck that had brake failure, according to witnesses.

The bus, in turn, rammed into several other vehicles in the Monday afternoon accident.

According to Philip Yegon, who witnessed the accident, the tow truck appeared to have brake failure, striking the school bus and pushing it into a farm across the road.

“Baada ya kugonga school bus, dereva wa breakdown akaturn akaingiza gari kwa mtaro,”Yegon narrated.

All injured students and staff were rushed to Molo Subcounty Hospital to receive treatment.
