Kenyans in Lebanon Urged to Register for Evacuation

Posted on October 2, 2024October 2, 2024 By Naomy Mbaka No Comments on Kenyans in Lebanon Urged to Register for Evacuation

Kenya’s State Department for Diaspora Affairs has urged Kenyans in war-torn Lebanon to register for evacuation urgently.

Despite repeated reminders, the government expressed disappointment that many have yet to take advantage of this crucial initiative aimed at ensuring their safety, even as tension persists in the country.

In a statement released on October 1, the government noted that it has successfully evacuated two groups and remains committed to continuing these efforts until all citizens are safe.

“We are deeply concerned that many Kenyans in Lebanon have not yet registered for evacuation despite our repeated calls.

The government has successfully evacuated two groups and is committed to continuing these efforts until every Kenyan in need is safely home,” read the statement in part.

Kenyans in Lebanon are encouraged to register for evacuation by applying through the provided link or by contacting the following numbers for coordination and guidance: +96590906719, +96171175006, or +254114757002. The deadline for registration is October 12.
