Kenya: Senior NIS Officer Commits Suicide in Kilimani

A Senior National Intelligence Service (NIS) officer committed suicide on Tuesday at his home in Kilimani area of Nairobi,according to police reports.

Suspicion was aroused when the senior official at the civilian intelligence agency did not arrive for work on Tuesday morning as scheduled.

Additionally, his phone remained unanswered.

Police claim that his colleagues followed him to his home, where he is believed to have taken his own life by shooting himself.


Sources say the officer left a suicide note.
