K24 journalist Wanjeri Kariuki was shot on Tuesday and sustained injuries while covering the ongoing anti-government protests in Nakuru.

She was shot while standing outside a local bank’s premises, with the bullet hitting her on the thigh.

Her fellow media practitioners rushed her to Valley Hospital where she is currently receiving treatment.
