Varsity Lectures Resume Nationwide Strike

Posted on October 29, 2024October 29, 2024 By Naomy Mbaka No Comments on Varsity Lectures Resume Nationwide Strike

Learning in all public universities across the country has been paralysed after lecturers downed their tools on Tuesday.

The University Academic Staff Union (UASU) declared that their strike will be on until the government heeds to their demands as stipulated in the 2012-2025 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Led by their Secretary General Constantine Wasonga, the dons called on the government to honour the negotiated return to work formula which had numerous benefits to cater for their welfare.

The dons exclusively blamed vice-chancellors for their woes, saying they have for many years frustrated their efforts to be enumerated better.

Wasonga insisted that no don will appear in lecture halls to discharge knowledge to learners.
