Man Stabbed by Lover Seven Times using a Pair of Scissors in Busia

A 24-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly killing her 29-year-old lover at their home in South Gate village, Butula Sub-County within Busia County.

The suspect, Joyce Atieno Odhiambo, is said to have stabbed Lucas Onyango Odera seven times using a pair of scissors following a domestic feud.


A police report indicated that the victim succumbed to his injuries later while undergoing treatment.

“Police officers led by the Bumala OCS and the Butula SCCIO visited the scene and established that the victim Lucas Onyango Odera now deceased, a luo male adult aged,29 years old had been fatally injured by his wife known as Joyce Atieno Odhiambo a luo female adult aged 24 Years old who stabbed him seven times using a pair of scissors after they had a family disp

“The victim was rushed to Sega Mission Hospital by neighbours where he succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment.”

Police officers combed the scene and the pair of scissors, the deceased’s clothes, and the suspect’s clothes all of which were stained with blood were kept as exhibits.

The suspect was arrested and detained at Butula police station while the body of the deceased was taken to Sega Mission Hospital mortuary awaiting a post-mortem.
