Man Chops Off his Genitals in Gatundu

Posted on November 25, 2024November 26, 2024 By Naomy Mbaka No Comments on Man Chops Off his Genitals in Gatundu

A man from Wanugu village in Gatundu South is recovering at Gatundu Level Five Hospital after severing his testicles with a blunt machete.

The shocking incident occurred on Saturday, November 23.

Speaking from his hospital bed, the man revealed that his struggle with harmful alcohol consumption had brought him to the brink of despair.

After repeated failed attempts to quit drinking, he said anger and hopelessness overcame him, leading to an attempted suicide.

Separated from his wife and three children, the man attributed his personal and economic struggles to years of alcohol abuse.

He appealed to religious leaders to pray for him and urged others struggling with alcoholism to seek help.

“Whenever I am sober, I am at peace,” he said, adding that alcohol has no economic value and only brings disastrous consequences.

A surgical report obtained by journalists confirmed that the man underwent a major scrotal exploration, which involves the examination and treatment of testicular injuries through a scrotum incision.

Efforts to reach medical personnel at Gatundu Level Five Hospital for an update on his condition were unsuccessful.

The man’s ordeal serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of substance abuse and the importance of accessible mental health and addiction recovery support systems.
