Fire broke out on Saturday destroying a portion of Isiolo Airport after the fire started in a nearby farm and spread to the building.

An official of Kenya Airports Authority at the airport during a normal inspection saw fire emanating from the South East part of Isiolo Airport police station and reported it.

Following joint efforts from the police officers and fire team the fire was put off after two hours.
