At least 11 Students From Kenyatta University Die in a Road Accident.

Recently road accidents have rocked Kenya claiming lives of many people and leaving others injured and in critical condition.

On Monday night,atleast 11 students from Kenyatta University died on the spot.

This is after their bus collided with a trailer in Maungu on the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway.

The students were going for a trip from Nairobi to Mombasa.

Forty two students sustained serious injuries with some in critical condition.

According to Kenya Red Cross the victims were rushed to Moi Hospital in Voi for treatment.

“The driver of the bus was overtaking a fleet of vehicles and it was raining heavily,”police said “the bus swerved to the right side of the road to avoid hitting the lorry which hit one side and ripped it off”

“We are actively responding to a road traffic incident involving a bus that collided with a trailer at Manyatta, past Maungu in Voi Sub-County,” stated the Kenya Red Cross in their official statement.
