Police in Kericho are hunting down a suspect accused of cutting off his wife’s ears for failing to follow his instructions and obeying his commands.

According to a police report, the suspect who hails from Sigowet-Soin, chopped off both of his wife’s ears after a heated exchange.

He then fled the scene immediately leaving his injured wife bleeding in pain.


“The suspect escaped immediately after committing the crime,” the police report reads in parts.

Neighbours expressed their shock over the incident stating that it was an unusual case that had never happened in the area.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital to receive treatment.
