At least thirteen (13) people killed and over 36 others seriously injured in a dawn accident at Migaa black spot on the Nakuru- Eldoret Highway.

The accident occurred at around 5.00 am on Tuesday, involving a Coast Bus company vehicle and a private car.

Rachael Maru, a first responder said that they managed to rescue most of the passengers and rushed them to hospital.

“We retrieved 36 people from the bus and rushed them to various hospitals. Some have died and we still have more trapped in the wreckage,” said Maru.

According to Maru, the survivors revealed that the bus heading towards Nakuru from Kericho failed breaks and rammed a private car heading in the same direction.
