Mumbi Maina Quits as Otile Brown’s Manager

Posted on July 28, 2025July 28, 2025 By June Wambui No Comments on Mumbi Maina Quits as Otile Brown’s Manager

Mumbi Maina has officially quit her role as Otile Brown’s manager, ending a short-term partnership that began in early 2024. The popular actress, known for her work in Sense8 and The Chocolate Empire, had joined the singer’s team after Otile parted ways with his longtime manager Noriega.

The change in management was confirmed in July 2025, though no formal statement has been issued by either Otile Brown or Mumbi Maina. It remains unclear why the actress stepped down. However, Otile is now being managed by a new team, whose identity has not yet been revealed.

In January 2024, Otile Brown introduced Mumbi Maina as his manager in a celebratory post on Instagram. He referred to her as his “team captain” and praised her loyalty, intelligence, and long-standing friendship. At the time, their partnership was widely welcomed by fans.

By February 2024, Otile had publicly celebrated Mumbi’s birthday, calling her “family” and further confirming their close bond. However, the recent quiet exit marks the end of their professional journey—at least for now.

Mumbi Maina’s departure may be linked to her return to acting and production. She has continued to feature in major Kenyan TV and film projects while taking on behind-the-scenes roles as well.

Otile Brown, on the other hand, remains active in the music scene, releasing new tracks and appearing at local and international shows.
