Chelsea Vs Nottingham Forest 1-1

Posted on October 6, 2024October 6, 2024 By Naomy Mbaka No Comments on Chelsea Vs Nottingham Forest 1-1

Nottingham Forest had to withstand some late Chelsea pressure to secure a point on their travels and enter the October international break in the top half of the Premier League table.

Chris Wood scored another away goal – his 10th in the Premier League on the road since the start of last season – to open the scoring for Forest after 49 minutes, but Chelsea were able to hit back quickly thanks to Noni Madueke’s strike past Matz Sels.

The away side had James Ward-Prowse dismissed for a second yellow card with 12 minutes remaining, and despite having to play nearly 15 minutes of added time, they held on for a deserved draw.

It could have been even better had Neco Williams not seen his added-time strike superbly saved by Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sánchez in the 100th minute of the match.
