Azimio la Umoja opposition party leader Raila Odinga has reiterated his commitment to end the alleged mishandling of the election process in Kenya.
Speaking on Friday at Yatta in Machakos County, he accused the Kenya Kwanza government of rigging the August 2022 presidential polls, at the same time vowing that the opposition team will not condone such malpractice again.

Raila said the only way for the country to have peace and harmony and move forward is by guaranteeing Kenyan citizens free and fair elections.
He, therefore, committed that the opposition would put the President William Ruto-led regime to account and ensure transparency
in the agencies mandated with undertaking the polling process.
“We want to make rigging a very expensive enterprise that nobody will ever again think of rigging elections in this country. Without resolving this matter convincingly, there will be no peace in this country,”
Raila Odinga
“Kenyans will not go back to elections in 2027 and elections be rigged again; it will never happen again. It will never happen means Kenyans will never accept it.”
Raila Odinga
The opposition party leader said that he defeated President Ruto in the 2022 polls and cited what he claimed was Azimio’s popularity in other elective positions hence insisting that there was “no way we could have lost.”
Odinga also called to question Chief Justice Martha Koome’Ss conduct, blaming her for the alleged “unfairness” she meted to Azimio while administering the Supreme Court verdict on the election petition.
