A five Storey building apartment block has collapsed on Tuesday evening in Uthiru.

Search and rescue operations are underway by the Kenya Red Cross.


Several videos shared online showed the apartment block tilted to the side, lights still on, as onlookers raised alarm.

The Kenya Red Cross said it dispatched a team on Tuesday evening to respond to a five-story building that collapsed near Naivasha Villas in Uthiru.


According to a police report seen by all tenants of the ill-fated Epson Apartment had been accounted for, except two–an adult and a minor.
