Comedian Fred Omondi was laid to rest today at his family’s home in Sega, Bondo, Siaya County.

His body was transported from Nairobi’s JKIA to Kisumu International Airport yesterday, where it was received by his family and friends.

From there, it was taken by road to Siaya County for the burial ceremony.

On Friday morning, a memorial service for the late comedian was held at the Chiromo Funeral Parlour Chapel.

Eric Omondi paid tribute to his brother, saying, “My brother, it has been an honor to be your sibling. Keep watching over us until we meet again.”

Last week, a comedy show was organized in honor of Fred by MP Jalang’o, Milly Chebby, and Terence Creative.

Fred passed away following a tragic road accident on Kangundo Road.
