14 People Seriously Injured and baby Dies in a Road Accident along Narok-Maimahiu Road

14 passengers were seriously injured and one-year-old baby died were after a truck rammed into a matatu along the Narok-Maimahiu road in the Pinyinyi area of Narok County on Tuesday night.

The incident occurred at 11:30pm, the matatu was heading towards Mai Mahiu with 15 passengers on board, according to police. As it was ascending a hill, the truck rammed into the matatu from the rear.

“The matatu veered off to the left side of the road as you face Mai Mahiu’s direction and rolled several times,” police at the nearby Ntulele traffic base said.


“One child aged 1 year was fatally injured and 14 passengers were rushed to the Narok County Referral Hospital and admitted in serious condition.”

The child’s body was taken to the same hospital’s mortuary while both vehicles were towed to the Ntulele traffic base.
